Jamie Oliver's Insipirational & Educational TED Talk

Facts don't lie and the facts that Jamie Oliver shares are scary. Until today I didn't even know who Jamie Oliver was (he is a famous chef btw). That all changed for me, and I would imagine for 100s if not 1000s of people that watched his award wining presentation about the importance of teaching every child about food.

Watch, share, discuss, and fight the ignorance:

Super Bowl Commercials 2010 - My Top 3 Picks

Overall these years Super Bowl commercials weren't that great. However, there were a few very creative ones among which these 3 were the best imho.

# 1 Google Parisian Love

This was by far the most original ad that tells a story of one man in 1 minute. Beautiful!

#2 Doritos Weight Room
If i had to pick the funniest one it would be this one, you just got to watch it to believe it:

#3 Kia Sorento Joy Ride
At first I was like hmm this looks interesting, then it was kind of funny but the ending made it epic.

It's a terrible situation in Haiti and they need help, especially Now!

It's been almost two weeks since the earthquake hit Haiti, and yet local people are still finding survivors under rubbles.

Here are the hard numbers from CNN:

CNN has compiled the latest, most reliable figures available as the devastation continues to unfold:

THE TOLL

150,000: Latest estimate of the death toll, from the Haitian Health Ministry. The European Union and the Pan American Health Organization, which are coordinating the health-sector response, have estimated the quake killed 200,000 people.
194,000: Number of injured
134: Estimated number of people rescued by international search teams since the quake

THE EFFECT

9 million: Population of Haiti
3 million: Estimated number of people affected by the quake
1 million: Estimated number of displaced people
800,000 to 1 million: People who need temporary shelter
235,000: People who have left Port-au-Prince using free transportation provided by the government. The number who left by private means is undetermined.
At least 50: Aftershocks of magnitude 4.5 or higher that have hit Haiti since the January 12 quake

Where to Donate: http://yele.org/ an organization started by Wycleaf Jean to help Haiti. After thinking through which organization I should donate to I went with Yele.org since Red Cross gets most of the attention smaller charities need our support as well.

Ever heard of an instrument called Ukelele before?

Neither have I, but now that I have... absolutely love it. Listen to this virtuoso Jake Shimabukuro and enjoy.

Happy Holidays!
